At Al Rashdan Mosque in Dubai, we created a shaded outdoor prayer area designed to make the space more comfortable for worshippers throughout the day. The shading helps reduce direct heat from the sun while allowing the open prayer area to remain bright, welcoming and practical. Built for Dubai’s climate, the installation also extends the usable prayer space and blends neatly with the mosque’s outdoor surroundings.
